Founder and President Nathaniel P. Jurmu graduated from Michigan Technological University with a bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Enterprise. He was involved with Michigan Tech's enterprise program, including work as the President of the enterprise group Efficiency Through Engineering and Construction, whom focused on valued engineered solutions.

Throughout his college studies he performed research work for private, and public clients. Including assessing and developing a method to effectively, and systematically identify structural conditions of At-Grade Railroad Crossings (Highway Railroad Crossings) for the Michigan Department of Transportation. He was also involved as a research assistant in a civil engineering materials lab.

During the summer months, Nate spent long days working for contractors with projects in Michigan, and Northern Wisconsin. Gaining valuable field experience.

​

In 2014 he began working for a local consulting firm. Nate worked on local projects, regional projects, and projects across the Midwest. His clients included contractors, municipalities, commercial clients, industrial clients, realtors, insurance companies, and private individuals.

In February of 2020, Nate founded Jurmu Engineering, Inc.
